Quarry Road Estates Residential Development — Amherst, Ohio

Quarry Road Subdivision is a 15-acre property with 19 single-family lots located on West Martin Drive and Quarry Road in Amherst, Ohio. KS Associates was selected to design the site due to the firm’s expertise in quickly and efficiently developing residential projects and our knowledge of the city of Amherst. KS Associates developed the site from the preliminary design and improvement plans all the way through to the preparation of construction plans.
The project’s greatest challenges included designing the site around existing overhead high-tension towers and easements, wetland areas and steep slopes along the eastern portion of the project. KS Associates utilized an existing pond as part of the stormwater management design, therefore reducing the amount of storm sewer required, ultimately reducing the overall project cost.
KS Associates represented the client at planning commission and council meetings to obtain approvals from the City of Amherst and the Ohio EPA. Our knowledge of local agencies helped to quickly move the project through the approval process. |
