Former Andrew Carnegie Library/Langston Hughes Center — Cleveland, Ohio

Fairfax Renaissance Development Corporation (FRDC) awarded KS Associates a contract to provide boundary and topographic surveying services for the renovation of a former Andrew Carnegie Library. The project is located at East 79th Street and Quincy Avenues. It is one of several projects that FRDC has initiated to stimulate economic and community development in one of Cleveland’s most prominent neighborhoods.

KS Associates’ role in the project was to survey 15 parcels of land and create a consolidated plat that provided an accurate representation of the entire site. Services included locating existing property corners, performing land record research, creating boundary and topographic maps of the site, and writing legal descriptions.

FDRC plans to lease the space to Senior Outreach Services, which works to improve the quality of life for inner-city seniors. It will also serve as a community resource center for a new housing project planned for grandparents raising grandchildren.

KS Associates' role in this urban redevelopment project was to survey 15 parcels of land and create a consolidated plat of the project site.
