February 11, 2008 – The Cleveland Chapter of the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio (PLSO) had the honor of hosting the 2008 PLSO Annual Conference in their hometown. The conference was held at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel in downtown Cleveland on February 7 and 8.

Mark A. Yeager, P.S., KS Associates' director of surveying services, was this year's conference chairperson. According to Yeager, "the conference provided an excellent venue for learning about the latest trends in surveying, and keeping one step ahead in technology."

Approximately 450 attended the show. Presenters discussed topics including techniques for running successful surveying businesses, how to make the best use of equipment and technology for accurate and efficient surveying, legal issues, GPS surveying, establishing safe work zones and more.

The Central Ohio Chapter will host the 2009 Annual Conference, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, February 12 and Friday, February 13, 2009.  For details, go to: 2009 PLSO Annual Conference.
