May 18, 2009 – KS Associates, Inc., a civil engineering and land surveying firm located in Elyria, Ohio, announces that Paul Fatica, P.E., has been appointed to Project Manager in KS Associates' Transportation Group. In this position, Fatica is responsible for managing local, state and federally funded transportation projects, as well as municipal and private projects.

Fatica has more than 22 years of experience in the planning, design and management of transportation projects. His management experience includes all stages of transportation planning, roadway, highway and bridge projects. He is particularly experienced in developing thorough and efficient preliminary and conceptual designs and solving complex geometric problems.

His design experience includes complex roadway design, interchange design, intersection design, pavement design, parking layout and design, grading and drainage, and storm, sanitary and water main design. Projects of note include the Great Lakes/Mid-Atlantic Corridor Project for the Ohio Turnpike Commission, the replacement of rail bridges over I-77 for the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the construction of dual-dual lanes for the I-271/I-480 interchange, also an ODOT project.

Fatica has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Cleveland State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio. Fatica is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), for which he currently serves as treasurer.
