January 13, 2006 – KS Associates, Inc., a civil engineering and land surveying firm headquartered in Elyria, Ohio, announces that James Scott, Project Engineer for KS Associates’ Transportation Group, has become a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the state of Ohio. His responsibilities include design and project management for all phases of KS Associates’ transportation projects.

Scott joined KS Associates in June 2005. His project experience includes designing and preparing plans for highway projects, most recently in the City of Sheffield Lake, in the City of Sandusky and for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 3.

Scott received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to earning a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited university, Ohio law requires that graduates have a minimum of four additional years of professional experience before taking the P.E. exam. Scott has more than five years of engineering experience.
