KS Associates prepared a Traffic Impact Study to evaluate the need for an additional lane on the four-lane state route to provide a separate left-turn lane at the main entrance to a shopping center. The study analyzed the need for dual left-turn lanes for the drive exiting the site and modifications to the existing signal with added signal heads, turn arrows and signal timing to provide an acceptable LOS. The study included traffic counts at six intersections, signal warrant analysis, accident history, traffic growth estimates and computer modeling of the corridor.
